| Network Operations |

Our Network Operations Center (NOC) is looking for an ambitious, self-motivated person to join our team of professionals. The NOC team continuously researches, implements, and maintains the IT technologies that allow I-Land to provide services for its dial-up, leased line, wireless, DSL, and web hosted customers. The ideal candidate for this full-time position will balance experience, skill, and desire to join our dynamic team.
In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, the candidate must have a comfortable knowledge in PHP, MYSQL, MSSQL, Unix scripting languages, Perl, HTML, and CGI. Knowledge of ASP, DNS, Qmail, Sendmail, RADIUS, Apache, internetworking (ie, WAN & LAN management), networking hardware and topologies, wireless technologies, and typical Internet applications are strongly preferred.
Other areas that the proper candidate should have experience with include routing configuration (i.e., BGP, OSPF, RIPV1, RIPV2), router security, Linux and Windows systems administration, and Linux Netfilter configuration.
Pay commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid vacation, holidays, health and life insurance, 401K retirement plan and another host of company paid benefits. Some travel opportunities exist along with a casual work environment.
Work hours are typically 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with a well compensated pager duty responsibility periodically through out the year.
